Vining Peperomia (Serpens)
Vining Peperomia (Serpens)
A great houseplant for beginners that will thrive in either a hanging pot or a large pot it can hang and grow down from. The leaves have a bright green with white tipping and it will explode with growth during spring and summer but will be fine over winter as long as it is a warm spot in the home. I raised these peperomias from cuttings and each one has been spoiled in my care. They are healthy and ready to go to a new home.
Plant Size: Will grow to a maximum of 75cm in width and 40cm under ideal conditions. It a a runner that will look to grow towards the light and make use of available space, especially in a hanging plant pot.
Ideal placement: Bright, indirect light works best. Without the sun, the plant won't grow. Too much and it will burn.
Care: Thrives in a humid environment, so mist regularly if in a dry location. Use suitable houseplant food in the summer months, once or twice a month depending on soil freshness. Once in a bigger pot, allow the first 3-5cm of soil to dry out before watering. Prone to root rot, so do not overwater.
The plants pictured are some of the many I have in stock in my plant nursery. The plants are sold by pot size and will be supplied in the pot, with compost.
