Add a vibrant splash of colour to your indoor jungle with this stunning Red Philodendron. Known for its glossy, heart-shaped leaves that emerge in shades of deep red and mature to a rich green with reddish undersides, this beauty is a relatively easy-care plant that will bring a touch of the tropics to any room.
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
- Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Reduce watering slightly in the winter months.
- Humidity: While it tolerates average household humidity, your Red Philodendron will thrive in higher humidity. Consider placing it near a humidifier or grouping it with other plants.
- Temperature: Happy in average room temperatures between 18-24°C (64-75°F). Avoid sudden temperature drops and drafts.
- Soil: Plant in a well-draining potting mix.
- Fertilising: Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilising in autumn and winter.
This Red Philodendron comes in a 12cm pot and is ready to bring its captivating colours and lush foliage to your home. A fantastic choice for both beginner and experienced plant enthusiasts!
